Armenian Miniatures

These gorgeous miniatures are from the book 'The Crafts and Mode of Life in Armenian Miniatures' by Astghik Guevorkian. The miniatures are from manuscripts dating back to as early as 1038AD. For example the girl dancing in the top middle miniature is dated 1725-1730.

The miniatures here are from 'The art of dancing' page.

Armenian art

I love art - and Armenia did not dissapoint! Here is a miniature clay jug that we bought from Vernissage Marketplace Yerevan, Armenia when we were there in 2005. I love it!

My first Post!

Doing this blog has been in my mind for over a year now. Someone I recently became friends with wrote about her change of attitude to be able to 'do it all' - to do everything she is passionate about - to do everything she wants and has in her mind. That statement sparked something in me - with everything I have going on in my life (three kids, business etc etc) I have been putting this off for too long - so here it is: my first post in my new blog!

I am passionate for Armenia!
